Michele “Shelly” Snyder was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area and has been working in women’s ministry for the past 15 years. Her passion for women in crisis situations, was conceived during her years of working in law enforcement as a crisis intervention operator, 911 supervisor and emergency management procedure writer. Her desire was further enhanced by her years of working with women in a ministry setting and counseling young women in youth groups.
Shelly’s Associate of Science in Criminal Justice degree is from Georgia Military College, and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies is from St. Petersburg College. Shelly also has an extensive history in business finances and banking which made her the best person to run the financial aspect of Empowered to Change Inc. In the past few years she and fellow Co-Founder and Co-Director Coral Nichols, have taken their passion for at risk women and men and created a program distinctly for Empowered to Change Inc., a safe secure environment to work through the 4 phases of the program and grow while staying clean and sober.
